      This story was first published Ma It was updated on J From the moment it was published in , Mark Twain's "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" .   Books such as the "Harry Potter" and "Lord of the Rings" series use this as the central theme. Another classic example is "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe." Circle of life: The notion that life begins with birth and ends with death is nothing new to authors—many incorporate this into the themes of their books.

      It is a curious incongruity that Mark Twain’s Adventures of Huckleberry Finn - widely considered one of the great American novels - was first published in Great Britain. Released stateside in February , the book has remained in constant state of controversy ever since. The subject of that controversy, however, has vacillated considerably according to the mores of the time. Note to all: "Action-Adventure" is a category with a lot of wiggle room, especially since the list's creator didn't even specify that the book must be fiction. If there are hard and fast parameters for this category, I will leave their definition to Goodreads employees.
